In response to the theme 'Design at the Edges' of the '2011 IDA Congress Taipei,' there is no country that isn't using creativity as the driving force behind various industries towards the development of aesthetics economics, integrating technology with human culture and fusing sensations with experiences, and is using the interweaving of the three dimensions of consumer psychology, social consciousness and sustainable development to explore insights on designs for the benefit of human living.
In depth exploration of the psychological needs of consumers
Through the interweaving of sensory experiences and emotional requirements, designers are able to rethink the usage of materials, colours, shapes, means of expression and function, develop vision from a more human approach and respect the inner desires and sensory experiences of consumers so that they really address the issues consumers are most concerned about.
Manifesting the cultural and social value of design
The interweaving of design with society, human culture and politics enables design to be applied to different groups in society, thereby extending the value of design to even more people and assisting in solving the severe problems and challenges facing the world today. In addition, apart from its commercial value, what is more important is the manifestation of the social and cultural value of design.
Using design to contribute to the sustainable development of the environment
The interweaving of design with the environment and ecology enables more environmentally friendly use of materials and manufacturing processes in industries and technology to actually improve industrial damage to the ecology and increase environmental sustainability, thereby enabling continuous growth and development of mankind on this beautiful planet.
